Tutunov Piano Series presents: Sandra Landini and Francesca Amato

The 10th Anniversary of the Tutunov Piano Series continues and in this spring concert, will feature piano duo Sandra Landini and Francesca Amato. Both are internationally acclaimed and award-winning pianists with their own solo, recording, performing, and teaching careers.  Together, they will create a powerhouse performance that is sure to delight with four hands on one piano and two dueling pianos. 

Francesca Amato is the winner of numerous national and international piano competitions and has been performing intensely inlconcert for many years. She has performed both as a  soloist and in chamber ensembles in major Italian and European cities. 

Amato recorded a widely-popular CD entitled "Marvelous Sufferings" which is dedicated to the music for four hands piano by Schubert, Schumann, and Brahms.

Amato graduated in piano with full marks and honors at the “G. Frescobaldi ”in Ferrara with Giampiero Semeraro. Subsequently she perfected at the Music School of Fiesole with Maria Tipo, at the International Higher School of Chamber Music in Duino with the Trio of Trieste, at the International Piano Academy of Imola with Pier Narciso Masi, obtaining the diploma with full marks. in Chamber Music. She also obtained a second level degree in concert with full marks and honors at the “G. Puccini ”of La Spezia.

Currently Amato is a piano instructor at the Liceo Musicale in Pisa.



For many years Sandra Landini has held concerts as a soloist throughout Europe.

Repeatedly invited to the United States she has played for the Steinway Piano Series at the University of Florida, in the  Kopleff Recital Hall in Atlanta, in the Bertelsmann Foundation Building in Athens and at Hugh Hodgson University Of Georgia.

She performed with the State Philharmonic Orchestra of “J. Dumitrescu ”of Romania (Chopin, Concerto n ° 1), Orchestra PJ Cajkovskij of the Republic of Udmurtia (Mozart Concerto for two pianos KV365) and at the Municipal Theater of Alexandria (JS Bach, Concerto for three pianos and orchestra BWV 1063).

Landini has released a CD for Phoenix Classics dedicated to Chopin and Russian authors (Rachmaninov, Balakirev, Glinka).

Landini was the winner of national and international competitions.
After graduating from the “L. Cherubini ”in Florence with full marks and honors, she graduated from the Conservatory of Perugia. She has also studied with Orazio Frugoni and Maria Golia - following the courses held by Boris Petrushansky.

Landini is currently a piano instructor at the “A. Boito ”of Parma.
