SOU Theatre presents: Xanadu

Experience the vibrant and energetic rom-com sensation, "Xanadu," as it transports you through a delightful journey between the mythical Mount Olympus and the sun-kissed shores of Venice Beach, California, all set in the groovy ambiance of the 1980s. Disguised as the alluring mortal Kira, the Greek muse Clio embarks on a whimsical mission to ignite the creative spark within the artist Sonny Malone, urging him to bring a roller disco to life. Prepare to meet a colorful cast of characters, including Sonny's envious girlfriend, a once-famous big band musician, and mischievous Greek gods.

Based on the captivating book by Douglas Carter Beane, "Xanadu" fully embraces the campiness and nostalgia of the disco era. Get ready to be dazzled by the enchanting choreography, the graceful gliding of performers on roller skates, and the flamboyant costumes that will transport you straight into the heart of the '80s. With music and lyrics by the talented duo Jeff Lynne and John Farrar, this production is expertly directed by Lauren Blair.

Mark your calendars for the opening on February 15th, and don't miss your chance to immerse yourself in the magic of "Xanadu." The show will run until February 25th, with both matinee and evening performances, ensuring there's a perfect time for everyone to witness this enchanting spectacle.
