SOU RAIDER BAND CAMP IS HERE! 

Do you play an instrument? Want to join a band that rocks and have a blast playing sweet popular tunes at football, homecoming, basketball, parades, community events, graduation, and other local gigs? If you answered yes, then...

Get yourself and your friends to the SOU Raider Band Camp September 16-21 (Monday-Saturday) from 9am-5pm in Ashland! We rehearse indoors / in an air-conditioned  Music Building at 450 S. Mountain Avenue, in room 220 / Band Room and we end the week playing in the stands for the first SOU Raider football game on September 21.

If you are a student at SOU this year (incoming or returning) and staying in the dorms - you can move in early - September 15 and food service is available too! Instruments are also available to check out for SOU students enrolled in a band course. 

If you are new to SOU or the Ashland Community and are a non-music major, a music major, or a community member with any instrument skill level (past or present) you are welcome and WE NEED YOU (AND LOW BRASS - sousaphone or trombone players needed most - so we can bring the BASS!)

Can't make it to camp? That's ok, you can still join in the fun. In addition to the Raider Band, SOU also has a Wind Ensemble and Jazz Band that meets 3:30-5:30pm 2x a week starting September 25th under the direction of our new band director Dr. Alexander Gonzalez.
