Oregon Center for the Arts at SOU and ShakespeareAMERICA present Shaking Up Shakespeare: Directing the Bard in the 21st Century.
Tony Taccone, long-time Artistic Director of Berkeley Repertory Theater, will join three other prominent directors with strong ties to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival: Shana Cooper, Rosa Joshi and Penny Metropulos, to discuss the challenges of re-staging Shakespeare’s plays. David McCandless, Director of Shakespeare Studies at SOU and organizer of the event, will kick things off with a brief lecture entitled, "What We Talk About When We Talk About Text",
