Experience needed: Participants must be able to hike 2.14mi with a somewhat steep slope and elevation gain of 750ft. No experience with the other acticities is needed, only a desire to learn.

Itinerary

9 - 9:30am - Group gathers in the Stevenson Union courtyard. Briefing on logistics and safety
9:30 - 10:15 - Walk from campus uphill into the watershed trail system to a flat, secluded gathering spot
10:15 - 11 - Cedar leads Yoga & Meditation
11 - 11:30 - Group bonding activities, intro to rewilding, rewilding invitations
11:30 - 1:30 Solo wandering and journaling within designated area
1:30 - 2:15 Group sharing, artistic expression, and debrief
2:15 - 3 Walk from gathering spot back to campus

Activities

Meditation, Yoga, Group Bonding Activities, 

Optional "Praise Walk": walk in wilderness and praising/ admiring other beings you encounter.

Optional "Walking meditation" walk slowly and feel the earth beneath your feet with every step. Integrate components of meditation as you walk.

Optional "Nature Dialogue" Speak directly to a being of nature and be open to response through symbolism. Maybe speak aloud so he/she/they can hear you, or perhaps convey your message through art, movement, dance, song, or other non-linguistic expression.

Journaling: Take 20 minutes towards the end of your wandering session to journal about your experience. This may include writing, drawing, poetry, or some type of reflective work that can be preserved for the future.

Optional sharing your journal or voice your experience to the group.

These activities will be the same or similar for all 3 rewilding events. Participants must be able to hike 2.14mi with a somewhat steep slope and elevation gain of 750ft. We will be meeting in front of the Stevenson Union and walking 3/4 mi up Mountain Street to the trailhead. From there, we walk 1/4 mi South East up the dirt trail to the destination.
