The State of Oregon, Department of Education, administers the Student Success Act (Oregon House Bill 3427), which ensures significant investments in programs to support historically underserved students. When fully implemented, this act will invest approximately $2 billion per biennium for early learning and K-12 education.  Nestled within the Student Success Act is the Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (NHPI) Student Success Plan. Our SOU Native American Studies program is pleased to host the Oregon Department of Education’s NHPI Student Success Plan Coordinator, Carol Matsuzaki, who will be visiting our SOU campus on Friday, May 2, 2025, to gather community feedback and input for inclusion in the plan.
