Friends of the Flame: Cultivating Sustainable Land Practices

Fire has been a part of human's relationship with the land since time immemorial and to cultivate a better environment, we must educate ourselves about following indigenous land practices such as cultural burnings that can also create a fire-wise community. Join us to hear from a long time friend of SOU and the Ashland community- Lomakatski Restoration Project's founders Belinda Brown and Marko Bey! They will present about their project, upcoming opportunities, and the magic of sustainable land management! We will also do a wood burning craft to go along with the discussion and share a delicious homemade vegan soup dinner. Let us all become "Friends of the Flame!" and come back to the Earth!
