Join us for a free and open to the public performance featuring Brett Reed who will provide a Jazz Vibraphone Clinic for the SOU Percussion Studio. The clinic will take place in the Music Recital Hall at SOU and is free and open to the public to observe on Wednesday, October 9th from 5:30-7:30pm. 

The clinic will feature perfomer and composer Brett Reed, who specializes in contemporary and improvised music. As a member of several ensembles, including Union32, Crossing 32nd Street, Skin & Bones, The Brett Reed Quartet, CIBB, Reed regularly performs as a jazz vibraphonist in both solo and ensemble settings. Reed is also an audio engineer and producer and has worked on numerous recordings featuring the music of Mark Applebaum, David Arbury, Keith Kelly, Christopher Shultis, Stellacutta, and Iannis Xenakis alongside the recordings of his own ensembles. In addition, Reed has premiered compositions of his own work including  solo percussion, chamber ensembles, and mixed-media groups.
