Bio: Emily Lindley is an active performer and educator in the percussion community. She received a Bachelor of Music Education degree at Arkansas State University with Mr. Craig Collison and will soon be receiving a Master of Music Performance degree at Southern Oregon University with Dr. Terry Longshore. She has been a member of Left Edge Percussion since 2018 with which she performed at places such as Stanford University, the University of Guanajuato and the Northwest Percussion Festival, and premiered several pieces including Joseph Bertolozzi’s Tower Music and Josh Gottry’s Quintic. Emily has also performed with the Rogue Valley Symphony Orchestra and with local Southern Oregon groups including Band du Pays Swing and the Uspensky Quartet. She has taught as a percussion instructor at Nettleton High School and Valley View High School both in Jonesboro, AR, and at Crater High School in Central Point, OR, and held a two year educational residency with the Britt Music and Arts Festival. After graduation, Emily will be moving to Salem, OR and will continue building her career as a music educator and performer. She plans on teaching percussion through several avenues and will remain an active performer in the Salem/Portland area.
