About this Event
1250 Siskiyou Boulevard, Ashland, OR 97520
John Francis stopped speaking for 17 years to better learn to listen; He spent 22 years refusing to ride in vehicles that use fossil fuels. During
that time he earned bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees, became an expert in oil spill cleanup, and worked for the US Coast Guard.
John, an SOU alumni, now travels the world as a motivational speaker.
In his silent travels, he learned about the interconnectedness of all issues. Francis says, “It’s all about people. How we treat each other is the foundation for what happens in our environment.”
This is a free event with a suggested donation of two non-perishable food items. Food donations and a silent auction will support the SOU Student Food Pantry and contribute to SOU's efforts as part of the Governor's State Employee Food Drive.
