Retzlaff Gallery (Art Building):

Still Lives, Justin Berry, Solo Exhibition

For Still Lives, Justin Berry has composed two virtual still lifes, each the same, comprised of the same objects, as part of another inquiry into the passage of time in imaginary worlds.  Visitors to the gallery can reach out over two empty pedestals and touch the virtual objects, pushing them around and making them speak or sing or whisper, bringing them to life in ever-evolving, and never fully predictable, ways.

Thorndike Gallery (Art Building):

Herstory, Women’s Resource Center, Group Exhibition

Em·pow·er·ment, noun: the process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one's life and claiming one's rights.

Students and community of all identities have come together to celebrate our personal moments, trials, and journeys toward empowerment. Our collection of stories hopes to inspire others on their own path to taking back their power.

Meyer Memorial Gallery (Marion Ady Building):

Layering Responses , Clee Ferris, Paige Gerhard, & Anna McGrath , Group Exhibition

Layering Responses reflects and emphasizes a series of processes and media combined in order to create one, similar, and unified aesthetic. Over a time period of two months, each artist collaborated using a systematic rotation so that each piece was only exchanged and received once per artist. Responding to what had already been created, each mark or set of marks reflects play, experimentation, exploration, or a combination of the three.

Art Department Chairs Gallery (Marion Ady Building):

The Making Of: Blindspot, Ben Gradel, Solo Exhibition

.

Bringing an idea to life that has never existed before is complex. Hundreds of parts and modifications involving thousands of hours, each change affecting every part and function of the motorcycle. Finding solutions to problems that have never been asked and making them function as intended involves blood, sweat, and tears. Looking at the finished product cannot explain the vast story behind the build. The Making Of: Blindspot gives a look into the struggles, successes, and finding of ways that didn’t work in bringing this motorcycle to its current state

Boise Cascade Gallery (Marion Ady Building):

Infinite Recursion, Kate Womack, Solo Exhibition

Infinite Recursion is a commentary on the personal mythology that people create and curate about themselves and their families and the looping of that common experience. The piece touches on flying the nest living outside of family expectations and being freed those familial canonizations. Infinite Recursion is about the stories we tell ourselves to both build and break cages for ourselves and others

JELD WEN Gallery (Marion Ady Building):
