Black History Month Museum

This event will bring education and inclusion to campus through history of the black community. Come learn and listen at this walk-through museum.

As we celebrate Black History Month, you are invited to visit The True Black History Museum that will be on display in February 23rd from 10am-4pm in the Stevenson Union ASSOU Lounge (202). The Social Justice and Equity Center, Black Student Union, EP!C Events, and the Black Southern Oregon Alliance are partnering to bring this traveling museum of historical artifacts to campus to help raise up the Black experience in American History. The museum is curated by Fred Saffold, who will be traveling to SOU to share the unique artifacts and documents, as well as share a short lecture with a Q&A session afterwards (Time TBA). We invite all SOU Students, Staff, Faculty, and community members to stop by the museum and take some time to learn about our country's History.

Please contact haywoodj@sou.edu with questions.
