Artist Statement:

My work is a collage of the fragmented landscape, boundless spaces that need mending. Through the repair and recontextualization of these displaced moments, I interrogate intersections of home, material resonance, gender, and identity. While carving a relief block or washing out a screen I am excavating the past, present, and future, navigating uncertain terrain through questioning and discovery. Upon this unearthing of what lies beneath the surface, I am presented with spaces, events, and truths that have been hidden, by me or from me. Together, each individual layer of information becomes a larger portion of the collective body, a vessel that delineates who, what, where, and why I am. They become a commingled history, a cosmic rhythm that aligns and retracts. These are the internal and external forces pulling and calling out in multiple directions, a thread between the tender and brutal moments of what is and what will become.
