Around The Sun: A Year In Poems and Prose encapsulates a creative endeavor that Mary took on last year in which she wrote a poem a day... All 365 days. This creative work was conceived out of a desire to grow as a lyricist, never intended to leave the folds of her notebooks. Thus, it is a deeply personal, but hopefully relatable collection of creative writing woven with prominent ideas of nature, love, future, passions, and youth interlaced with the poetry of a gal who doesn't take life too seriously. Mary Snelgrove is from Reno, Nevada and is now a student at Southern Oregon University pursuing a degree in Music Industry and Production. Her passions lie in the world of live music and she hopes to find a career in concert venue management. Mary is also a Festival Producer for the Oregon Fringe Festival and outside of her studies, she enjoys rocking out at concerts, skiing, song-writing, and being a part of nature. Mary has enjoyed collaborating with the very talented Macy Wetzel, who has brought color and visual to her first piece of published writing.
