The Fox & Beggar Theater presents, Goodnight, Absalom!, a mad and dusty operetta, set in the glorious wild west! In the sin-ridden town of Absalom, two demonic robber barons play a very strange game of chess for very high stakes. Packed with antics, song, dance, a live spaghetti western band, and a big barrage of Faulkner references, Goodnight, Absalom! examines the big business of cultural polarization in America with a uniquely dark wit. 

The Fox & Beggar Theater, based in Minneapolis, MN, tells stories about imaginary gardens with real toads in them. Productions explore the spaces between street theatre, dance, circus arts and acrobatics, mask-and-puppet theatre, experimental musical composition, and illustration. Currently, The Fox & Beggar Theater is excited to build a wonderful new 18’ mobile pop-up proscenium theater for all of its future endeavors.
