His earliest musical memories are of his grandfather, Edward Kalendar, playing jazz standards and orginal works; he began piano at age four with his grandmother, Asya Kalendar, and continued studies with Susan Nowicki and Amy Yang. Sebastian has performed internationally in Switzerland, Mexico, Iceland, Italy, and Spain, most recently at the Carme Contemporary Cultural Center in Valencia as winner of the 2025 Valencia Internatioal Piano Academy Competition. A member of the Lang Lang International Music Foundation's Young Scholars Program (2022-24) and an ambassador for Keys of Inspiration, he is also a frequent guest presenter at Rancho la Puerta in Mexico. Sebastian studies Piano Performance at the Peabody Institute with Alexander Shtarkman.

The evening will feature stories, footage, and reflections on Dot's remarkable life and activism. We'll screen the newly released film The Outcast at Sanger Lake, which chronicles her extraordinary commitment to nonviolence following a harrowing near-death experience. You can watch the trailer for The Outcast at Sanger Lake here.

Filmmakers will join us for a Q&A following the screening. Admission is $15, or pay what you can. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

Dot died on January 29, 2026, at the age of 97 at her home in Ashland. This special event celebrates her enduring legacy of peace, courage, and community action.

Winner of the 2017 New York Respighi Prize, he debuted as a soloist at Carnegie Hall in 2018 with the Chamber Orchestra of New York. He has since performed at major venues including Berlin Philharmonie, Musikverein Vienna, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Suntory Hall Tokyo, and Seoul Arts Center, appearing with leading international orchestras. A professor at the Conservatory of Trento, he has given masterclasses across Europe and beyond. Also active in research, he has rediscovered and premiered works by Mendelssohn, Nino Rota, and Vivaldi.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Jacopo Giacopuzzi has performed recitals throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. He is the winner of 14 international competitions, including the International Piano Competition San Donà di Piave, Ibiza International Piano Competition, International Liszt Competition in Los Angeles, and the Beverly Hills National Auditions. His teaching credentials include the Conservatory of Verona E.F. Dall’Abaco and the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels. Since 2023, he has served as Director of the Tramonto Festival in Encinitas.

A prizewinner at major competitions including the Chopin Competition (1985) and Piano Masters in Monte Carlo (1994), he has performed worldwide in leading venues such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Vienna Musikverein, and New York's Lincoln Center. Renowned as one of today's foremost interpreters of Chopin, Angelov has presented complete cycles of the composer's works to critical acclaim and frequently appears at major Chopin festivals. He has recorded extensively for top labels, earning the Grand Prix du Disque from the Chopin Institute. He is the founder for the Paino Extravanganze Festival and a recipient of numerous honors, including Poland's Gloria Artis Medal.
